Pilates is a series of nonimpact exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and inner awareness.
Pilates is a form of strength and flexibility training that can be done at any level of fitness. The exercises can also be adapted for people who have limited movement and is a way of improving movement ranges. It is an engaging exercise program that promotes a feeling of physical and mental well-being and also develops inner physical awareness.
The exercises strengthen and lengthen the muscles to create ‘ overall body length’ and improve posture.
Pilates is also helpful in preventing and rehabilitating from injuries, improving posture, and increasing flexibility, circulation, and balance.
According to Joseph Pilates, “You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.”
Classes held in Andover, Hampshire. All classes are booked and paid for in term blocks following school half term times. Usually 6-8 weeks.
Bunny Randall is Level 3 qualified Mat Pilates Teacher and qualified with YMCA training board. Part of REPS. Also qualified in Ante and Post natal Level 3 with YMCA.
