Traditionally a month with no formal meeting, members enjoyed a summer drinks party this month in the delightful gardens of Bliss Beauty Therapy, courtesy of owner-manager and long-standing member, Larraine Mitchell.

Now established as the one meeting to include men, it gave members the opportunity to mix on an informal basis with husbands and partners and enjoy an excellent buffet and glass of wine, prepared by members of the Club’s Committee.

With over 30 guests and members attending, every nook and cranny of Bliss’ pretty gardens was put to good use as partygoers chatted in the evening sunshine.  Many members were surprised at the extent of the facilities and treatment rooms hiding behind the tiny façade of Bliss Beauty in East Street.  Likened to a tardis, the front door opens to a surprising selection of treatment rooms, including the Cave, a blissfully restful room with healing stones, gentle music and the ability to de-stress even the most tense of clients.

The garden too, hiding behind the treatment rooms, is a surprise, made up of gentle water features, trailing plants and hidden resting places to calm away the day.  The informality of the evening was appreciated by all and everyone went home happy and relaxed, having spent an evening in good company, with good food and good wine
