Our speaker, Heather Bevis from Cfit (Childcare & Information Team) proved herself to be an interesting speaker, providing us with links to information and services, such as childcare, for anyone connected to children and young people. We got to
consider the benefit to business and community that can be gained by the knowledge that Cfit are able to provide appropriate, impartial, up to date information and help.
It become apparent to me that there are still many myths about child care issues, and Cfit have the actual facts, that can be accessed by those with the joys, and challenges of caring for children and young people.
We learned a little more about Ofsted, childcare vouchers, grants, etc and were reminded that children and young people are the future workers, and how we run our businesses will affect us and them.
Heather knew her subject, and it was a pleasure for us to have her to talk to AWIBC.
